The organisation has the following aims:
to promote pc sheets in all its applications
to carry out data collection
to develop quality and technical standardsOn 24 February 2005, EPSE welcomed 4 new effective members during the February General Assembly:
Bayer Sheet Europe
Palram Industries
Polygal Plastics Industries
Sabic Innovative Plastics
From now on, these 4 members of the European organization EAMPCS (European Association of Manufacturers of Polycarbonate Sheet) are member of the enlarged EPSE.

EAMPCS which was created in 2002 has been liquidated. Since the enlargement of 24 February 2005, EPSE can count on the effective participation of 11 players in the polycarbonate market.
Due to the merger of non-integrated and integrated companies into one organization, EPSE has obtained a much stronger and representative support for defending the interests of the European polycarbonate sheet producers.
